Families can keep boredom at bay by visiting Worcestershire’s Hanbury Hall.
The National Trust property, near Droitwich, is holding themed family activity days every Tuesday this summer, with face painting, trails and craft workshops and bird of prey displays. Normal admission prices apply plus a small charge for some activities.
The hall, an 18th-century country house, is open Saturday to Wednesday. The gardens, shop and cafe are open every day.
