We’re giving the Easter bunny a run for his money

2:32pm Wednesday 26th March 2008

TOWNSFOLK marked an egg-cellent Easter with a string of special events.

Children in Droitwich and the surrounding areas enjoyed traditional bonnet parades, while others used the festival to gather together and celebrate their faith.

Youngsters at the 3 Bears Pre-School, which is based at Ombersley's Memorial Hall, took part in a bonnet competition as they celebrated the traditional Christian festival.

Meanwhile residents at the Ravenstone Care Home, in St Andrew's Road, got together to enjoy the occasion, which saw them wear bonnets and enjoy chocolate eggs.

St Peter's First School, Church Lane, also held an Easter bonnet competition. Each class received a chocolate treat, with the winner from each age group getting an egg.
